Updated Draft Quadra McKenzie Plan: Survey

About the survey

The Quadra McKenzie Plan has been updated based on extensive feedback from earlier phases of engagement, technical studies, and further Council direction. 

What is new in the updated Draft Plan?

1. Refined Land Use Designations: Some higher-density designations have been reduced or shifted to better balance growth, neighbourhood character, and environmental protection.
2. Land Use and Heights: Taller buildings (up to 24 storeys) are now being proposed in limited locations in the Quadra McKenzie Centre only when they provide significant community benefits.
3. Sub Area Refinements: Each sub area now has clearer policies reflecting its unique role and character.
4. Multi-Use Path Connections: Some connections have been removed or modified.
5. Biodiversity Conservation: Policies have been amended to clarify intent and support implementation of the Biodiversity Conservation Strategy.
6. McKenzie Corridor: McKenzie Avenue road design has been removed and will be addressed through a future process.
