2025 Municipal Budget Engagement - Survey

Help us build the budget!

Thank you for participating in our budget engagement from January 22 to February 16, 2025 on HelloSaanich. Residents had the opportunity to participate in a survey and budget simulation tool to provide their feedback.

Public input is now closed, but residents are invited to join upcoming budget meetings to learn about the draft budget, current cost drivers, opportunities and plans for the coming year:

  • Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 6 p.m.

The goal of this public engagement is to gather input to identify priorities for municipal spending, and ideas on how the District can deliver a balanced budget — as mandated by provincial legislation — while maintaining and enhancing the services you rely on.

The results will help Mayor and Council better understand the priorities of Saanich residents.

2025 Budget Survey

January 22, 2025 - February 17, 2025

This is a 30 question survey which will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

The budget is the plan for how tax dollars and other funding will be invested to provide the services Saanich residents count on, as well as to build and maintain roads, recreation centres and other important District facilities.

We want to build a budget that meets your needs while balancing what’s actually possible given the current economic realities.
