Bowker Creek Channel Maintenance
What's happening?
The District of Saanich will be doing routine maintenance along the Bowker Creek at several areas. The work primarily includes minor improvements to remove debris and blockages within the creek. The blockages are within Kings Community Nature Space Park between Kings Road and Haultain Street.
Why are we doing this?
We are doing this work to improve the overall flow and conveyance of the creek system, mitigate flooding risks by removing blockages within the creek.
How will this affect me during construction?
Temporary traffic delays and impacts may occur for:
- Haultain Street
- On-street parking near the work area
- King’s Community Nature Space Park
Timeline:
Construction of this project is anticipated to be completed by September 9 at the latest.
