Cedar Hill Cross Road Watermain Upgrade

What’s happening?

Saanich is upgrading our watermain on Cedar Hill Cross Road between Borden Street and Cumberland Road.

Why are we doing this?

The existing watermain is being replaced due to its condition and to improve water quality.

Construction Impacts

During construction Cedar Hill Cross Road will be single lane traffic between Borden Street and Cumberland Road. Drivers may experience delays of up to 15 minutes during construction hours.

Some properties will have their driveway inaccessible for a short period of time. Public Works staff will notify residents of these occasions and try to accommodate any access concerns.

Some disruption to water service in the area will occur during construction. Public Works will notify residents 24 hours prior to any planned shut-offs.

Garbage and recycling services will be maintained.

Project Timeline

Construction began in June 2025 and was completed in October 2025.

Work on this project is now complete with some future paving to be completed in spring 2026.
