Colquitz Storm Drain and Sewer Upgrade

Saanich undertook a utility upgrade project on Colquitz Avenue between Gorge Road West and Cowper Street, work started in late fall 2023. We replaced the existing storm drain and sanitary sewer pipes and replaced both drain and sanitary sewer services to property lines. The existing storm drain and sanitary sewer were in poor shape and required replacement.

Saanich has completed the utility installation of the sewer and drain upgrades. The new utilities are currently active and servicing the surrounding community. Work to restore the road right-of-way to a fully operational state remains. Construction crews will periodically visit the project site for the next couple of months to reinstate impacted infrastructure.
