Kenmore Tasco Utility Replacement

What’s happening?

The District of Saanich will be undertaking utility upgrades within the right-of-way between 1651 Tasco and 1650 Kenmore. The scope of work includes the replacement of the existing storm drain and sanitary sewer infrastructure.

Why are we doing this?

An investigation was completed in 2023 on the storm drain and sanitary sewer infrastructure in the right-of-way between Tasco Close and Kenmore Road. The storm drain was found to be in poor condition, including obvert cracking and displaced joints. There is a history of public work concerns for maintenance. The sanitary sewer located adjacent to the storm drain is concrete and warrants replacement. This project will include the replacement of this poor condition infrastructure.

Construction Impacts

During construction, work will take place between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm from Monday to Friday. There may be some impacts to traffic along Tasco Close and Kenmore Road during construction.

Project Timeline

The project is expected to begin August 2026 and last approximately four weeks.
